YouTube Shorts is the reason why humanity should not exist. It gives me an itch on the back of my throat that an atomic bomb could never scratch. If I ever have to watch another “Short” again, I will drink gasoline.
So you see, I was watching a YouTube video when it was first released, and I saw this new YouTube Shorts feature which I hadn’t heard of before. My first thought was “wow this is actually kinda cool.”
There was this toothpaste guy who kept saying “here’s the before results” and chewed on some purple mint thing and then tried out a new toothbrush which was pretty nice. However, I got bored pretty quickly, so I just stopped watching it for a while. Then, a few weeks ago, I gave it another try, and guess what, it’s all complete garbage.
Firstly, who keeps putting random clips and then a caption saying “Respect” and then like 5 fire emojis and then I see it has a million likes??? So a million people just saw these stupid clips with a caption saying “Respect” and thought ah yes let me like this very interesting post?? Also, why is everything on it just incredibly useless? I get absolutely nothing from any of the videos. At least with regular YouTube, you can watch tutorials or explanations for things but YouTube Shorts are just a bunch of videos that waste your time.
What happened to the sweet times when YouTube was filled with videos of wholesome content? Creators like Cr1TiKaL or Ryan Higa, and not just shorts with no effort that waste your time.
So, what should you do instead? Content creators like Ketchup 3 are posting videos daily for us to enjoy, such as the most recent video “stir fried onion and salmon”. They have many interesting vlogs in Singapore and Hong Kong where they do sightseeing and play golf. They have less than 500 subscribers but some of their videos even get more than 20k views, a true youtube professional. I highly recommend watching Ketchup 3. Even though they post shorts — it is really epic!
So yeah, YouTube Shorts sucks. I am sure you agree too if not then lol.
