Tor's Top 5 Vitasoy Drinks

Following up to my “spicy vlt” article, many viewers (especially fellow leeks writer minion Santi) highlighted my peculiar taste in vitasoy drinks. I cannot believe some of you actually liked spicy VLT?! Therefore, to create more controversy, and as a follow up to the “spicy vlt” article, here are my top ten Vitasoy drinks. As a disclaimer, do not take my opinions seriously, and consume these drinks at your own risk. This article is NOT sponsored by Vita®. *cue dramatic music*

Peach Tea

One of our school staples, a box of cold peach tea on a hot summer day is one thing I would reach for immediately. A jack of all trades, master of none. It would certainly please me when drinking it, but wouldn’t amaze me. Some people really do overhype it, but I would consider them the “井底之蛙” (frogs in the well); there is so much more fish in the sea.

Hong Kong Style Milk Tea

I vividly remember how much hype this drink garnered back in the day. The ads of Vita’s long awaited milk tea on buses around Hong Kong left ten-year-old me ridiculously excited for what was to come. After seeing a box lurking around in a 7-Eleven and giving it a try, I had a ritual of buying at least one each week for around a month or two. I mean props to Vita for replicating the thick taste of Hong Kong Milk Tea, but they unironically mixed the taste of juice boxes into the milk tea. If Vita fixed that, they really have an amazing drink on their hands.

Honey Lemon Tea

Severely underrated and underappreciated, Honey Lemon Tea entered my arsenal 2 years ago.

Once upon a time, a sick tor entered Welcome, with the objective of finding a honey-based drink. With the yuu anthem blasting above me from the speakers, I picked up a bottle of Honey Lemon Tea. After heating it up, I realized just how amazing of a drink Vita had created. If all lemon tea was a family, Honey Lemon Tea would be the Grandma of the family; so sweet, so wonderful, so kind to you, but it might be a little too sweet for some.

Super Icy Lemon Tea

First time I tried this drink was probably at a friend’s house. It was a scorching hot summer day, and the rest of the boys took the rest of the regular VLT and Sprite. I looked deeper into the fridge and found cartons of Super Icy Lemon Tea. I decided to give it a try, poked the hole, and took a big sip. Although that sip may have completely shocked my body, it may be the best shock I have ever given myself. On a summer day, drinking Super Icy VLT can only be described as euphoria or box-drink nirvana in summer. Only slight concern is on how sweet it is, but other than that can be considered a serious contender for first place.

Chocolate Milk

The king of the Vitasoy drinks, nothing beats devouring a box of chocolate milk, whether the weather or drink is hot or cold. The sugar level of the chocolate milk is just right; not too sweet, not too plain. Personally, having been in RC for almost ten years now, I honestly haven’t been attracted to chocolate milk for nine of them, but after giving it a try, I haven’t turned back since; the complete opposite of love at first sight. Given how cheap this sells for and how often you see this in vending machines, it is certainly a steal. (ps. i know friends that have bought pallets of this in bulk, learn from them!!)

Honorable mentions for this list include Blackcurrant Juice and Vita’s Cold Brew Tea line, which are both refreshing and soothing drinks to consume during summer. If I wanna care about my health, I’ll have the tea, but if I don’t (which is like 99.9% of the time), I’ll choose the rest.

Now that my opinions are out there, may the world argue and I shall lean back, and watch it burn up in flames…
