the detrimental mistake of the basketball court

This incident occurred a few months ago when they first unveiled the new basketball courts. Day and night, I waited. I waited to see if something would’ve been done. But nothing happened. I’m here to break the silence.

That fateful day was supposed to be one with celebration and excitement at Renaissance College. A brand new basketball court had just been constructed, complete with state-of-the-art basketball rims, backboards, and of course, a shiny (albeit ugly) new floor. The entire school was eager to test out the new court and show off their skills to their friends.

However, upon my first inspection and trial, disaster struck. I noticed that something was missing. Something crucial. Something that made the court a court. One missing hash mark.

Yes, you read that right. The brand new, multi-trillion dollar basketball court was missing a truly pivotal aspect. One singular hashmark along the free-throw lane (key) was missing.

All students were in shock. How could this have happened? How could a brand-new court be missing such a crucial component?

For I’ve waited months to see if something would’ve been done, but nothing. So here I am writing this, to bring awareness, to shine light, on this topic.

I have theorised three possibilities of why this incident could have occurred…

1. Paint is too expensive

This theory is quite self-explanatory, we obviously don’t pay enough to be in such a flawless, incomparably quintessential school, it makes sense certain corners would be cut, especially as paint prices skyrocketed from the collapse of the global economy, it’s safe to say that this is the most probable theory.

2. The ESF scheme to kill our basketball team

Other ESF schools have bribed the construction company to intentionally ruin the court, to create flaws and imperfections to diminish our concentration on the court, making it difficult to train and slowing down our basketball team’s progression in order to beat us in the ISSFHK, and ACAMIS tournaments. DC U20 >:(

3. They just messed up and I’m overthinking

Maybe but who cares lol it’s actually still not fixed so go fix it pls RCHK.
