RCHK students return in spite of nuclear bomb explosion that left the campus uninhabitable

Cheery attitudes and familiar faces are all around as RCHK students return to their annual hunting grounds for the new semester. If you weren’t paying close attention, you wouldn’t even notice the barren wasteland that Heng On has become!

While experts still have not been able to locate the precise origin and cause of the explosion (as most of them perished in the incident), many theorise that the explosion occurred due to an incident involving Year 7s and the first floor toilets. Unfortunately, no Year 7s agreed to testify.

“I’m more than excited for this school year,” said one delighted Year 12. “I think that by overcoming adversity, our education has become more than worthwhile.” What lovely sentiments! Sadly, the student could not share any more thoughts as her schoolbag suddenly achieved sentience mid-interview and took off with her laptop, possibly due to the increase of radioactive matter in the atmosphere.

Who even needs a functioning campus? Even though the toilets are now just holes in the ground, the students and staff are having a wonderful time.

“I think the new environment minimises distraction,” claims an English teacher. “Now that all the classrooms have been reduced to crumbling dirt shells, we can really cultivate the perfect environment for studying George Orwell, complete with psychological terror!” Our suggestion of installing a monument that says BIG LEEK IS WATCHING YOU was rejected…for now.

However, the change in scenery is not without its drawbacks. Due to the influx of half-dead radioactive beings that have begun crawling out of the sewers and kitchens, the PE department is now offering self-defence classes for ages five to sixty-five.

Here’s to a successful school year!

UPDATE: We at Leeks have now been informed that the area once known as the secondary library has been overrun by the radioactive creatures. As is our duty to the school, we would like to tell everyone not to enter the area once known as secondary library unless strictly necessary. Thank you for your cooperation.
