It’s official!
Following a statement from Warner Bros. Pictures and Mojang Studios, “Minecraft: The Movie of Steven and Alex’s Adventures” is set to release on February 14, 2056. The movie stars Steve Carrell — the main guy from The Office — as Steve, the lead character of the movie. Billie Eilish also stars in the movie as Alex, Steve’s best friend and adventure partner.
Other members of the cast include Anson Lo as Creeper, Dua Lipa as Cow, Sit Ying Yee as Ender Dragon and Robert Downey Jr as Herobrine.
Directed by "Steve" Spielberg, the movie highlights the adventures of Steve and Alex in a blocky world, in their journey to defeat the vicious Ender Dragon.
Originally conceived in 2014, the movie was originally set for release in May 2019. However, development delays occurred when they needed to experiment on how to animate the hug scene between Steve and Alex. Minecraft: The Movie of Steven and Alex’s Adventures was then delayed to March 4, 2022. But when March 4th rolled around, theatres did not have the film.
The outrage trended on social-media platform Twitter — and subsequently caused Mojang to issue a public apology letter.
The movie has now entered production, with over 95 animators working on the project. Billie Eilish and Finneas O’ Connell — Grammy-winning singer-songwriters of the hit song ‘bad guy’ — is set to write five original songs for the project:

Captainsparklez and TryhardNinja — the group behind “Revenge” — is also set to produce a new original song. They have sent us the chorus:
