Attached is a photo of the cast of Hamilton, a professional Broadway musical.

Broadway and theatre have had a long history of breaking legs. Renaissance College has also kept on with this hazardous tradition only with...children.

According to recent studies conducted by local health insurance companies, Renaissance College’s very own Black Box Theatre was the most common location for the occurrence of broken legs.

Multiple students have recounted their past experiences in classes and have confirmed that many teachers are telling them to break a leg!

One student, who only accepted being interviewed on the condition of being called Chad, angrily admonished the teachers. “They keep telling us to break a leg? Like they keep threatening us like Yo Imma break yo legs. WHAT KIND OF TEACHER DOES THAT!?!??!!?”

The student was very emotional.

Another student was found wearing casts covered in smiley faces and abstract drawings on both their legs. They decided to chip in with their experience: “Last time, I was auditioning for the main role in the musical Chicago and these teachers kept telling me to break my legs. I didn’t want to but my classmates all heard them say it to me and offered to break my legs for me.” The student burst into tears at this point, “I–I couldn’t say no…”.

Many parents have called the school, demanding to know why their children went to school fine and ended up returning home on crutches. The school has declined to comment on the situation.

One parent in particular was furious about their child’s lack of safety. “My poor child deserves to have a safe environment for their education! Just because their cast comes with childish drawings and happy little messages doesn’t mean that their leg isn’t broken!!!”

Despite the evidence piling up that could result in malpractice lawsuits and the termination of these teachers’ contracts, the Drama teachers have attempted to defend themselves with claims akin to the Democratic Republic Of Korea’s declaration to nuke the United States:

“Break a leg is just a metaphor for good luck. I don’t get why these students end up breaking their own legs or getting their classmates to break their legs for them, but it's not our intention to hurt our students.” .

Under Hong Kong’s law dealing with sanctions for false statements of truth, lying with the intention of hurting others can lead to conviction and sentencing of a minimum of 3 years.
