It’s almost the new year and all Asians know what that means, RED POCKETS.
Yes of course the lion dances, dragon dances, food, lanterns, visiting relatives are all goated. But let's be real, how can it be better than saying “gong hay fat choy” and getting free money? Apparently if you're married you don’t receive red pockets, so honestly when I grow up I might just not get married so I can activate infinite red pocket glitch.
However, for the past three years COVID has kept us under house arrest, meaning no hundred people restaurant gatherings. I haven’t seen my precious red pockets in years…
But now finally covid is dead *touch wood* so hopefully I can afford to pay my debts to tom nook this month 🙏 . Although I feel like my total profit from red pockets is negative. Because every year after I get my red pockets my parents are always like “give them to me so I can keep them for you for the future” then they just disappear in the abyss and I never see them again. Ngl I would not be surprised if every parent just used it to fund our school fees or something.
On the topic of red pockets, I’ve always wondered, do you actually make profit from them? Because of course you receive them, but for me my parents make me package and give them out as well. Look I don’t know where they’re getting the money from, but it worries me whether red pockets are just a lie?? Honestly if they have a secret meeting every year to just use the money from previous years for this year's red pockets I wouldn't even be mad I’d respect that.
So for you people that are planning on taking econ or business (pls actually don’t though it’s not worth it), use your talented calculator minds to figure this out because I have no clue.
Anyways guys have a great chinese new year, happy red pocket hunting, and gong see fat choy 🫡.
